My name is Rachel Kantor. I was born and raised here in Missoula, MT and I feel lucky to be raising my three children here as well. I enjoy teaching after school art classes at my children’s school and assisting with an after-school program at a local art center. I have also received my Master Naturalist Certification from the Montana Natural History Center. I grew up camping and backpacking, which has instilled in me a love and appreciation for the outdoors. I recently re-discovered my love of running, thanks to my son and very patient running partner. I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, gardening, crafts, art, learning about medicinal plants and primitive skills, and trying to convince my husband why another animal would be a great idea to further us onto our road of sustainability and self-sufficiency. So far I have succeeded in acquiring chickens, ducks, and sheep. As a result of many months of soul-searching on how to combine my degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Intervention, with my love for the outdoors and children, I decided to start my own waldkindergarten-based preschool.
